Gateway Skydiving Center, founded in 2012, has played a major role in shaping modern skydiving in the St. Louis area. After Fly Free Skydiving in Festus, Missouri closed, many local skydiving instructors were left without a place to jump. Gateway Skydiving Center opened its doors and provided them with a new home.
We are proud to be one big, welcoming skydiving family. From the beginning, we knew we wouldn’t be the only skydiving center in the St. Louis area forever, but it was a unique opportunity to bring instructors together, align on best practices, and build a strong culture of safety and excitement.

The season at our skydiving center officially began in early June. Our expert team is ready for the season, regardless of the situation around the COVID-19 virus. Our mission is the same, no matter the situation, and that is to give people unforgettable fun and adventure.

Learn More About Our History
Skydiving is in our blood. It all started in 1969. Exposure to aeroplanes skydiving and life growing up around airports is hard to explain to someone that has never been in that type of environment. While skydiving is considering extreme sport it is actually a very peaceful experience and most of our skydiving students would say it is not what we expected or it how we imagined it.
Some Skydiving centers had multiple locations where owners can’t be there to greet students some are so big commercialized that you become a number. Skydiving is a labor of love and in 2012 Gateway Skydiving Center was born. Completing thousands and tandem skydives and graduating numerous skydiving licensed skydivers and skydiving instructors with an outstanding safety record that we are proud of.
