TANDEM SKYDIVE
TANDEM SKYDIVING
With tandem skydive you will be attached to a professional instructor with years of experience and thousands of jumps under his/her belt, so you can enjoy one of the most memorable moments of your life! Your job is to have fun and scream your lungs out as you are flying through the air at 120 mph. During a Tandem Skydive, your instructor does most of the work, making it suitable for most people.
Clothing
Tandem skydiving isn’t a fashion contest! You will be most comfortable in loose fitting, seasonally appropriate clothes. On cooler days, you might want to opt for jeans or sweatpants and a long sleeved shirt. No skirts or dresses.
Shoes
Tennis shoes will work best. No boots, flip flops, sandals, or high heel shoes.
It is not advisable to skydive if you are pregnant, or have back, limb, or joint injuries. If you have concerns about your ability to participate safely, please consult your doctor!
TANDEM FLIGHT
TANDEM TRAINING AND SAFETY
Training will last about 25 to 35 minutes, depending on a group size.
You will learn the following from your instructor:
- How to safely walk on airport taxiways and around small aircraft.
- Proper aircraft exit procedures and proper free fall, canopy flight and landing body positions.
As you and your instructor exit the aircraft, you will experience an incredible 45-second flight you will never forget! Around 5,000 ft you or your instructor will open the parachute, and by no means has the experience ended there. Your canopy ride can be a smooth glide down, or a wild roller coaster ride-depending on your preference. With awesome views of Lake Carlyle this will be one of the most scenic canopy flights you can experience in Midwest.
To skydive you must weigh under 230 pounds. You must be 18 years or older. 200-230 lbs – $2 per pound surcharge.
