Skydiving with a disability…
There is nothing more rewarding for skydiving instructors then to take somebody with a disability or terminal illness on a skydive.
Skydiving is special for us and anyone that has spent more then fifteen minutes talking to our instructors can see that we are obviously passionate about skydiving..
Skydiving with a disability is not only possible, but it can also be one of the most fulfilling experiences for both the instructor and the student.
This is what makes our job special and we know that we are making that individuals dream come true and making their life’s just little better for a day…
Seeing the smile on their face and the joy in their eyes after completing a skydive is priceless and reinforces our passion for this incredible sport.
But the worst thing about our job is tell someone that they can not go.
It’s never an easy conversation, but safety is our number one priority and we will always make decisions with that in mind.
While for most people it is possible for them to skydive everyone must understand that east person is different..
That’s why we take the time to assess each person’s unique circumstances and abilities before making a final determination.
There are multiple factors here. How does student fit in a harness how much movement if any does student have in legs weight etc.
We understand that accommodations may need to be made, but we are committed to doing everything we can to make the skydive happen.
We recommend that you call set up a time come to the Gateway Skydiving Center and we will try to come up with at game plan how to make your skydive possible.
We want to ensure that the experience is not only safe but also enjoyable, so taking our time to properly prepare is crucial.
Slow weekday is best for this scenario that way we can take as much time as we need to train gear up.
No matter what challenges exist, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to check skydiving off their bucketlist.
We love to be part of that bucketlist and we know when you skydive you can’t think about anything else even if is only for a short time….
